It's been way too challenging trying to get settled into the new place.
First things first, I have to say that my melodramatic and overly attached self is always way too conscious about letting things go without appreciating the things that are here now. And here's a few reasons why in a wonderful little list of Pros and Con's.
PROS.
-For one, even though the apartment is very small, it's still enough for us.
-There's AC. Which means I won't die of over heating and neither will my mom and bun while I'm out.
-Two bathrooms. I've never lived in a place with two bathrooms (although admittedly the other bathroom isn't as available as it should be because....... yeah...)
-I like the window near my bed. The moon light shines in through very nicely~
-Laundry utilities downstairs. Parking garage. In site manager. For any little problem.
-Store right outside. We used to have to walk to this store a little longer. They make food too so I guess cafeteria and store in one.
CONS.
-Eventhough there's AC, the bill for it is stupid high so yes, we still have to brave the heat. And it's worse because (see next)
-....We are upstairs. That means all the heat stays longer and the sun hits more directly and ugh. Also the balconies don't help right now since it's super hot outside as it is. Also being upstairs makes taking groceries and absolute hell. GDI. &#*($)!(*&!@(#*)!@
-There's no backyard so cleaning my buns cage is much harder.
-There's perpetually no signal here ever. Relying on Wi-Fi at home now is the only way to receive calls but we're fucked if the internet dies.
-Even though, like said above, the store is right there outside the door practically, it's also twice as expensive.
-It's hard to arrange things in order to accommodate all the stuff I had arranged on my other house (for example, trying to organize the closet or having to buy another piece of furniture JUST to put all my clothes and stuff ugh....)
This is a double point; it's both a pro and a con. Since I'm much farther from my job now (I walk to work usually, unless I'm feeling very bad. The commute for my city is cheap and fast but I walk faster than it takes the bus to get from point A to point B) it takes me a little bit longer to get there, and I get wayyyy more tired since I have to go farther and faster. And thus I have to wake up earlier OTL On the other hand, it forces me to wake up and have breakfast, and serves as exercise too which I desperately need.
In either case, I've got a very shallow concern in trying to find a practical piece of furniture for all my crapppppppppp OTL I just need it to be ok enough to fit in a small space and practical for what I need it for. It's so stupid but it's also necessary cuz I've been wearing the same 4 things for 3 weeks since I can't unpack OTL
So here's hoping I can properly settle in.
I'm actually looking forward to when it's colder here in this tiny apartment. Especially seeing all the Halloween and fall decorations in the store starting to appear.
We'll see how things go.
